During two days in the beginning of June, 2018 Hersby Gymnasium took 32 students from school into the Swedish archipelago to the island of Grinda. The students were from different programs on our school, social science, natural science, economics and from newly arrived swedes whom are learning Swedish. The trip was arranged by our students and their organization for interaction between Swedish students and refugees on our school. The goal was social inclusion and to make new friendships between the students. On the island we learned more about surviving in the wild, making a camp fire, first aid and played games. We also took a hot sauna and a swim in the cold ocean. The students had a very good time together, and new friends were found….
