UNESCO-EU Training Workshop “Integrating Intangible Cultural Heritage in School-Based Education”, Vienna, 26-29/10/2019, RALLEIO LYKEIO and ROOTS Dissemination ActivityRalleio Lykeio represented UNESCO Associated Schools network in Greece in the joint UNESCO-EU Training Workshop “Integrating Intangible Cultural Heritage in School-Based Education”, held in Vienna from 26 to 29 October 2019. The program is a joint initiative of UNESCO and the European Union, to strengthen the connections between young people, cultural heritage and education under the label “2018: European Year of Cultural Heritage”. Ten school teams formed by one teacher and one learner, from 10 EU countries, learned more about the safeguarding of their living heritage and will develop innovative teaching material and projects within the existing curricula or in extracurricular activities and Erasmus+ projects. The new material produced will be presented in the second part of the Training Workshop to be held from 27 February to 1 March 2020.Ralleio Lykeio applied for the seminar (and was chosen among 54 Greek schools) with the 10 Study kits prepared for ROOTS C2 Learning Activity (April 2018). ROOTS Coordinator at Ralleio Ms Katerina Christodoulou presented ROOTS to the UNESCO and EU officials and to the participants of the joint Training Workshop, who were impressed by the variety and the innovative scope of ROOTS methodology and activities. https://ich.unesco.org/…/training-workshop-kicks-off…
